Nightlife Technology Takes the Stage at World Expo in Osaka

From 13 April to 13 October 2025, Nightlife will showcase its industry-leading entertainment technologies at World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Following our successful collaboration in Dubai 2020, we’ll once again provide the music and visual content for the Australia Pavilion, highlighting our innovative solutions like Scan to Play and crowdDJ®, which offer interactive, on-demand music experiences to audiences worldwide.

Coordinated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Australia Pavilion offers visitors an immersive experience inspired by Australia’s unique landscapes and culture. Nightlife’s curators have built a diverse music and video showcase of new, traditional and artistic Australian content to complement the exhibition.

Head of Music and Content, Matthew Lymbury says, “Expo 2025 is an ideal platform to demonstrate how Nightlife’s technology is transforming the way people experience licensed music and video in public settings, making these experiences more personal and engaging than ever before.”

Above: World Expo Mascot MYAKU-MYAKU was welcomed to Brisbane to mark the launch of the Australia Pavilion by TIQ CEO Justin McGowan,, Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates MP, Japan Consul General Ishikawa Katsutoshi, and Nightlife staff.

With our ability to operate seamlessly in global markets, from London and Los Angeles to Laos, we are ready to deliver our solutions at this international event.

At the Pavilion, visitors will experience the latest in our Scan to Play technology, allowing them to select songs from a dynamic mix of Australian music, tailored to the time of day and schedule of events. Our crowdDJ® Scan to Play feature empowers guests to personalise their music experience by scanning a QR code to view available songs and make requests directly from their phones. crowdDJ® will be central to the Pavilion experience, offering an engaging, lively atmosphere for Expo attendees.

Visitors will notice our Australian Played logo displayed alongside Australian artists’ songs on crowdDJ®. Designed to allow consumers to easily identify Australian artists, it not only makes it easier for fans to discover and enjoy their favourite Aussie music but also helps support our incredible homegrown talent. Importantly, every time a song plays through Nightlife, the artist is compensated, ensuring they’re paid for their work.

As we continue to lead the way in interactive entertainment, from music and karaoke to live streaming and games like trivia and bingo, Expo 2025 presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate how Nightlife’s innovative technologies are transforming the global entertainment landscape. Our all-in-one platform is connecting people in new and exciting ways, revolutionising how businesses engage their audiences. With a proven track record and a commitment to delivering seamless, cutting-edge experiences, Nightlife is proud to be part of this global event.
