‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ is the first single from Alex Lahey‘s sophomore album ‘The Best Of Luck Club’.
Lahey is a 26 year old singer-songwriter from Melbourne who has gone from strength to strength since releasing her debut single in 2016.
The following year Lahey had two top 50 entries in Triple J’s Hottest 100 and her debut album reached number 6 in the Triple J listener’s poll. Festival appearances, sold out tours, and international coverage all followed – including an American TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Her second album details “the highest highs and the lowest lows” of her life to date and the lead single is notable for the huge saxophone solo performed by Lahey. In fact she plays everything on the album save for the drums.
So check out the new video for ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ and get to know this talented songwriter before she undoubtedly goes global.
