With multi-platinum success comes massive music video budgets, and Maroon 5 have certainly been spending that money on some epic music videos.
It used to be enough to have a topless Adam Levine (this video still has that, to be fair), but with each new single the disparity between Maroon 5’s music and their videos is ever greater. Featuring Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch, San Andreas, True Detective) and all of the special effects Hollywood can muster, the video charts a surreal and destructive relationship breakdown.
The video is directed by Dave Meyers, who has already directed some of the best videos of the last 12 months – Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Humble’, Camila Cabello’s ‘Havana’ and ‘Kings Dead’ by Jay Rock F/Kendrick Lamar, Future & James Blake (arguably the other Video Of The Month).
