You have been on fire lately – almost a million songs were selected on crowdDJ in Nightlife venues last month. It knocked our socks…
Anzac Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day on which we remember all Australians who served and died in war and on operational service. Being a public holiday, it is also a big day for all sorts of Nightlife venues and the right approach needs to be taken to ensure appropriate music and visuals. We have a range of content suitable to slot in to your Anzac Day programming and can help you set up this package around your services.
We have made available several versions of Laurence Binyon’s Ode to help commemorate the Anzac spirit in your venue.
The full version of The Ode is a self-contained commemoration service, beginning with The Last Post and concluding with one minute of silence. This piece is accompanied by moving images courtesy of The Australian War Memorial. We also have a version without the minute of silence and a number of other options.
Call us on 1800 773 468 to discuss the perfect version for your venue.
To help maintain a focus of remembrance after The Ode or minute silence, we have composed a special ANZAC_DAY list. It contains a small, hand-picked selection of appropriate tracks from artists such as; Eric Bogle, John Williamson and Redgum, perfect to follow on from The Ode.
It also includes ‘Spirit of the Anzacs’, a charity single featuring Lee Kernaghan, Guy Sebastian, Jon Stevens, Sheppard, Shannon Noll, Jessica Mauboy and Washington. This single was released in 2015 to raise funds for Legacy and Soldier On, and is based on Paul Keating’s 1993 eulogy at the interment of the Unknown Solider in Canberra. The music video combines historical war footage and photos with pieces filmed in studio when recording took place.
The screens in your venue can also be set up to display slides. You might like to program one to stay up for the duration of the day; or intersperse an Anzac Day slide with any special messages. Using our Advertising Library on the Manage My Nightlife web app, you can find and program these for the date and times you require.
Here’s some of the slides available on the web app:
Whether there’s a few games of two-up planned or you’re advertising food and drink specials; we’ve got something to suit your Anzac Day program.
