'Straight Lines' remastered

Silverchair’s ‘Straight Lines’ turns 11 and gets remastered

Does it feel like Silverchair’s ‘Straight Lines’ is eleven years old?
Of course not (and how did that happen), but here we are in January 2018 struggling to come to terms with how time could possibly have gone that fast. This time of year we’ve got Australian songs and artists on our minds. What better way to celebrate than with a remastered music video for this track, which was voted in at number 2 on triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2007.

Silverchair remains one of the most successful and popular Australian bands of all time, and is represented in Australia by label Eleven: A Music Company. Eleven look after an impressive roster of artists (The Presets, Birds Of Tokyo, Missy Higgins) and work quietly behind the scenes to get their artists’ music heard here and abroad. The pragmatic team have a wealth of experience under their belts and are dedicated to developing their small roster of enduring artists and helping them to build credible, global careers.

Here at Nightlife we’ve also dedicated ourselves to something bigger – an ongoing commitment to remastering music video clips and re-releasing them at a higher quality. This isn’t just a selfish indulgence either; it’s part of an effort to catalogue and archive original footage, ensuring the safe digital storage of these works of pop culture for many years to come. As one of the largest repositories of music video in the world, we regard this process as one of our duties, and enjoy sharing these high quality videos with audiences who share our passion for music.

The remastered music video for Silverchair’s ‘Straight Lines’ from label Eleven, following its eleventh birthday, is now available to Nightlife clients on the January Release 2 update and sits alongside three other remastered tracks; Eminem’s ‘My Name Is’, ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ by Lenny Kravitz and Toto’s ‘Africa’.
